What personal data we collect and why
When you visit our website
Your browser automatically transmits technical data to our hosting provider's servers, including your IP address, date and time of the request, browser type, operating system, and referring URL. This data is necessary for the technical delivery of the website and is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website). Server log files are stored temporarily and are not combined with other data sources.
When you subscribe (free membership)
If you sign up as a free member or newsletter subscriber, we collect your email address (required) and, optionally, your name. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract, i.e., providing you with the newsletter you requested). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us directly.
Ghost may also store an approximate geographic location based on your IP address at the time of sign-up. You can request deletion of this data at any time (see "Your rights" below).

If you contact us by email, we use the information you provide solely to respond to your inquiry. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).

Ghost (Pro): Hosting and email delivery
Our website is hosted by Ghost Foundation Ltd. Ghost processes and stores membership data (email addresses, names), serves our website content, and handles all email delivery (newsletters and transactional emails) as part of their managed hosting service. Ghost may use third-party sub-processors for email delivery and infrastructure; these are governed by Ghost's Data Processing Agreement. Ghost stores data in the EU.

Data retention
Membership data (email, name) is stored for as long as your subscription is active and deleted within a reasonable timeframe after you unsubscribe, unless retention is required by law. Server logs are stored temporarily by our hosting provider. Email correspondence is retained as long as necessary to handle the inquiry.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection to processing (Art. 21), and withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3)) without affecting prior lawful processing.
